Here at Warren House Vets, we recognise that visits to the vets can be worrying for your cat because of its unique nature and needs. That is why all our branches are taking the necessary steps to become the International Society of Feline Medicine accredited Cat-Friendly Clinics.

The Cat-Friendly Clinic programme is designed to help address the issues that make these visits stressful. By creating a more cat-friendly environment, we can reduce the stress for cats and make veterinary visits easier.

We are currently working towards achieving Cat Friendly status.

Here are just some of the steps we are taking to ensure your cat has a stress-free visit:

Separate cat and dog waiting areas in all our waiting rooms, as well as cat trees and clean blankets sprayed with a relaxing feline pheromone. This ensures that your cat starts their visit as calmly as possible.

All our branches will have an appointed 'cat advocate' to ensure that cat-friendly standards are always upheld. Our advocates are passionate about making sure your cat receives only the very best care during their visit.

All staff members adhere to cat-friendly handling and nursing guidelines set out by the International Society of Feline Medicine. All our staff members follow these guidelines. We believe that every cat visiting us should be handled kindly and given the space they need to exhibit their natural behaviours, this allows your cat to feel more at ease and us to deliver the very best care.

If your cat needs to be hospitalised, we have a range of clean, spacious kennels in their cat-only ward. We also have a range of up to date diagnostic equipment, and all our vets and nurses undertake regular training to maintain and update their knowledge, making sure they are providing your cat with the highest quality care.

If you have any questions regarding the facilities and care we provide for your cats, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
