Dear Clients of The Warren House Veterinary Group,
We know that in these unprecedented times, many of you will be worried about having access to continued veterinary care for your pets, many of whom may have medical conditions that require medication or regular veterinary care.
Please rest assured that we are still here to provide emergency care for your pets, but under strict guidelines from the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons and the British Veterinary Association, we have had to dramatically modify the service we offer to you to help keep not only ourselves, but the wider community as healthy as possible during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Our Lordswood, Walderslade and High Halstow branches will remain open throughout next week for URGENT TREATMENT ONLY. This means that all routine and non-essential procedures, booster vaccinations, nail clips and check ups are unfortunately cancelled or rescheduled. We will, of course, continue to answer your calls, assess and treat your pets with the same high standards of care on a case-by-case basis, but the way in which we do things will change.
Your calls will be fielded by one of our staff as soon as we are able to, however there might be a bit of a delay in getting to you. Please be patient, we will help you out as soon as possible.
If you need repeat medication, then please consider emailing the relevant branch rather than telephoning. Please also be aware that our wholesale medicine suppliers are currently stretched and not delivering as frequently as usual, so you may have to wait slightly longer than normal for your repeat medications. We are doing everything we can to avoid any shortages or issues, so please bear with us.
Our staff will happily discuss any concerns you may have about going overdue with vaccines or flea / worm treatment. Please continue to observe the UK Government’s advice about leaving your home only if absolutely essential.
All cases that we deem to be non-routine will be assessed by our vets and/or nurses, sometimes over the phone, or we may ask for more information. Please bear in mind that if we feel that a telephone / video consultation with the vet is necessary then we will make a small charge of £18 to cover the vet’s time in diagnosing and recommending treatments. The bill can then be paid over the phone and any prescribed medication collected from outside the practice observing recommended social distancing.
PLEASE REMEMBER, WE ARE DOING THE BEST WE CAN TO HELP YOU DURING THIS UNPRECEDENTED AND DIFFICULT TIME. PLEASE CONTINUE TO RESPECT OUR STAFF AND THEIR ONGOING HARD WORK TO KEEP YOUR PETS SAFE AND WELL.
With best wishes from all at The Warren House Group of Veterinary Practices
